Allie Lue Edwards was born to her proud parents, Lizzie Ella Jones and Stephen (Dock) Edwards, on March 15, 1934, in Columbus, Mississippi. She attended Union Chapel School in rural Columbus, MS from 1st through 3rd grade; Mitchell Memorial Elementary School in the city of Columbus, MS from 4th through 6th grade; Union Academy High School in Columbus, MS from 7th through 10th grade; R.E. Hunt School in Columbus, MS from 11th through 12th grade, and graduated from high school in 1955. In September 1955, Allie Lue Edwards enrolled in the freshman class of Rust College in Holly Springs, MS, and in 1959 graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education.
She also attended Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, MS, and Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS. Allie Lue Edwards had thirty years of work experience as a public school teacher in the Louisville Municipal School District in Louisville, MS before she retied June 8, 1989. She is a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Louisville, MS.

Allie Lue leaves to cherish her memories to her siblings, Ida Lue Cook, Mary Alice Edwards, Allen Edwards, and Lue Ella Smith; her play daughters, Catherine Tripplett, Aileen Hayes, Dorothy Whitfield, Linda Johnson, Elmetra Eichelberger Patterson; two special neighbors, Salley Themes and Rose Prince. She was the Aunt of Several nieces and nephews; former teacher of many students; and has friends all over the world.
