Ann Fenton Treadwell, born on June 28, 1941, in Columbus, Mississippi, to Mary Ann and King Fenton, Sr., passed away on October 18, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, Mississippi. As the cherished ninth or tenth child in a large and loving family, Ann was known for her warmth and generosity.

For over 30 years, Ann dedicated her life to serving others as a cafeteria worker at the Mississippi University for Women. Her passion for cooking was evident in the delicious meals she prepared, reflecting her nurturing spirit and desire to bring joy to those around her.

A lifelong resident of Columbus, Ann was deeply rooted in her community and her faith. She was a devoted member of Oak Grove M.B. Church, where she found strength and solace among her church family. Known for her straightforward nature, Ann always sought the best for her loved ones, offering guidance and support with unwavering love.

In her personal life, Ann was united in marriage to James Treadwell, and together they raised two wonderful sons, instilling in them the values of hard work, compassion, and integrity. Her family was her pride and joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be treasured forever.

Ann's legacy is one of love, resilience, and community. She will be remembered for her warm heart, her delicious meals, and her unwavering commitment to her family and friends. As we celebrate the beautiful life she lived, we honor the countless lives she touched.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings, Dan Fenton, King Fenton, Jr., Lucille Collins, Emma Fenton, Annie Smith, Edith Martin, Celeste Fenton and Sallie Knight.

Ann is survived by her loving sons, Eric and Mark Treadwell; one brother, Freddie Fenton, eight grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
