Annie Margaret Baldwin Calloway, a beacon of love and strength, was born on January 7, 1946, in Starkville, MS, to the late Joe Baldwin, Sr., and Caroline Baldwin. She departed this life leaving a legacy of profound love and cherished memories as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Annie's faith was a cornerstone of her life, evident in her dedicated service at Friendship M.B. Church, where she faithfully contributed to the Pastor's Aide Ministry. Her commitment to her spiritual community reflected her compassionate spirit and unwavering devotion.

Professionally, Annie was the first African American woman to be hired in 1973 and made a significant mark, retiring in 1997 from Gen Corp. Beyond her professional life, she embraced the simple joys of existence, finding immense pleasure in cooking delicious meals, savoring good food, and engaging in lively conversation with her beloved friends. These moments of connection and culinary delight brought immense warmth and happiness to her life and those around her.

Annie was preceded in death by her loving parents, Joe Baldwin, Sr., and Caroline Baldwin, and four of her cherished siblings, Dossie Baldwin, Mary Dell Baldwin, Bessie Jones and Dwight Baldwin, Sr. She also mourned the loss of her grandson, DeAnthony Jones.

Her memories will be eternally cherished by her devoted children: Derek Calloway and his wife Queen of Columbus, MS; Debra Calloway-Ellis of Columbus, MS; and Anthony Calloway of West Point, MS. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of family, including her siblings, Joe N. Baldwin and his wife, Brenda of Columbus, MS; Willie Baldwin, Sr. of Macon, MS; James O. Baldwin and his wife, Sarah of Baltimore, MD and Nathaniel Baldwin; one brother-in-law, Willie T. Jones; one sister-in-law, Christine Baldwin. Her enduring legacy also lives on through her seven beloved grandchildren and seven precious great-grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who were touched by her extraordinary spirit. Annie Margaret Baldwin Calloway's life was a testament to enduring love, unwavering faith, and the joy of a life well-lived, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
