Obituary

Aundrae Sanders was born on January 23, 1964, in Columbus, Mississippi, to Willie Dell Sanders and David Billups. He peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of service, hard work, and unconditional love. He was preceded in death by his father, David Billups.

After graduating from Caldwell High School in 1984, Aundrae proudly enlisted in the United States Army, where he faithfully served seven years of active duty. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to his country by serving an additional 13 years in the Mississippi National Guard. Alongside his military career, Aundrae dedicated 23 years of service to the City of Columbus, earning the respect of many through his strong work ethic, integrity, and unwavering commitment to his community.

Aundrae will be remembered as a hardworking man, a devoted father, a special uncle, a loving son, and a caring brother. He had a heart that made everyone feel like family and if you knew him, you were his "baby." Whether you needed a helping hand, words of encouragement, or simply someone to show up, Aundrae was always there. His kindness, generosity, and dependable spirit touched countless lives, and his love for his family was evident in everything he did. He was especially devoted to his mother, his brothers and sister, his children, and his grandchildren, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his loving mother, Willie Dell Sanders of Columbus, Mississippi; his children, Antonio Glover of Alexandria, Alabama; Jasmine (Ariel) Williams of Dallas, Georgia; and Tevin Williams, Andrea Sanders, and Taylor Erby, all of Columbus, Mississippi. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Tarriq Fields, Azania Glover, KuNori Williams, Jabaris Williams, Amariona Sanders, Avery Williams, Bethany Murray, and Kehlani Williams. He is also survived by his devoted siblings, Coretta Sanders and John Sanders, both of Columbus, Mississippi, and Paul Sanders of Washington, D.C., along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory and the lasting impact he made on their lives.
