Barbara E. Womack was born on October 18, 1961 to the late Elbert Ellis, Sr. and Geneva Ellis.

Mrs. Womack confessed Christ at an early age and was a lifetime member of True Vine M.B. Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, taking walks in the park and spending time with family and friends. She was employed at Mississippi State University for over 30 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Henry Womack of Artesia, MS; her mother, Geneva Ellis of Artesia, MS; one daughter, Yvonne Richard (Darrell) of West Point, MS and one son, Ladarius Ellis (Precious) of Columbus, MS; two step-daughters, Kristin Vactor and Kayla Vactor both of Atlanta, GA; two stepsons: Micheal Hughes and Henry Womack, III both of Columbus, MS; six sisters, Priscilla Hodges of Crawford, MS; Sallie Watt (Issac) of Crawford, MS; Francy Thomas (Gregory) of Artesia, MS; Juanita Ellis of Artesia, MS; Deborah Bishop (Andrew) of Columbus, MS; Tammy Samuel (Marvin) of Starkville, MS; three brothers, Elbert Ellis, Jr (Wanda) of Artesia, MS; Henry Ellis (Monica) or Brandon, MS; Isaiah Ellis (Brenda) of Brandon, MS; ten grandchildren;  three great-grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends,

She was preceded in death by her father, Elbert Ellis, Sr.; and three sisters, Jeanette Clayborn, Bernice Ellis and Ellen Ellis.
