Obituary

Deacon Bennie C. Ivy was born on February 15, 1959 to the late Arthur and Laura Lee Ivy of Macon, MS. He departed this life early Monday morning November 3, 2025 in Macon MS.

He confessed hope in Christ at an early age at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Macon, MS. He later joined New Providence Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until his death.

Bennie C. held many different positions within the church. He was ordained as a deacon who served as a Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent of Sunday School, Financial President and Chairman of the Deacon Board.

Bennie C. Ivy attended Noxubee County High School. He was a man who wore many hats and worked many jobs in the public sector and was also self-employed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; (3) sisters, Annette Ivy, Arie B. Ivy, and Jeanette Ivy, and (1) brother:,O. C. Ivy.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories four brothers, Pastor Willie (Sherry) Ivy, Sr. and Minister James Ivy of Macon, MS; Bro. Julius (Jackie) Ivy of St. Louis, MO; Bro. Arthur (Michelle) Ivy Jr of Meridian, MS; two sisters, Sis. Francis (Louis) Wallace of Bartlett, IL, Sis. Mary Lou Rice of Macon, MS; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, and an abundance of friends.
