Billy G. "B.J." Johnson, Jr. was born on April 6, 1988 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Billy G. Johnson, Sr. and Debra Ann Wilson.
B.J. departed his life on November 11, 2023 in Columbus, MS. He confessed Christ at the age of twelve and joined United Christian Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Jesse D. Sherron.
B.J. attended New Hope High School, where he was on the football team. He loved sports and his favorite teams were Chicago Bulls and Denver Broncos. After high school, B.J. relocated to Denver, Colorado where he met and married his wife Ashley Baxter. B.J. loved and protected his family. He had infectious smile that would light up the room. He had a way of making anyone laugh with his funny jokes and giving family members nicknames that matched their personalities.
He was preceded in death by his father Billy G. Johnson, Sr., grandparents, Clifton(Mae Tiny)Johnson, Sr., Bobby(Sally)Latham, Earlene Smith, Sarah Fox and Louis Perry; Uncles Earl Talley and Willie James Jones, Sr., aunts Henrietta Reed, Brenda Smith and Mary Prude.
He leaves to cherish his wife Ashley Johnson. He survived by his son, Micah O'Daniel(Caledonia, MS) daughters Ale'jah Johnson, Ayiana and Alana Baxter(Douglasville, GA), mother and step-father Debra(Kenneth) Wilson, Sisters: Joyce White(Atlanta, GA), Marha(Carlos) Carias(Memphis, TN), Al'Quana(Eddie)Chandler and La'Sheena(Steven)James, Jr.(Columbus, MS), and brother Kenneth V. Wilson. Grandparents, CLifton(Catherine)Tate, Uncles, Clifton Johnson, Jr., Seawood Johnson, and James A. Johnson all of Columbus, MS, and Thomas(Shirley)White(Chicago, IL). Aunts Phyllis(Billy)Davis(Kansas City, M)), Karl Douglas(Columbus, MS), Dorteen Shelton(Chicago Heights, IL), Queen SMith(Denver, CO) and Gloria(JErome)Duncan(Hopewell, VA). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and mentors whom he loved and valued; late father. Billy G. Johnson, Sr. and Mr. Fate Jones.
