Sister Bobbie Jean (Stewart) Stevenson was born on February 10, 1940 to the late Bonnie and Pheba Stewart in Brooksville, MS. She passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the age of 84. She was surrounded by her family.

She confessed her faith in God at an early age and joined Mount Zion M.B. Church. Later on in life, she married Richard Stevenson and joined Drake Hill United Methodist Church.

She served faithless as a choir member and stewardess. She had a gentle smile about her. Although, she was a quiet person but a big heart to help people. She was employed with Noxubee County School System for twelve years until her health failed her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Richard Stevenson; and her siblings.

Sister Stevenson leaves to mourn her four children, Bernard ( Janice) Stevenson of Montgomery, AL, Cora Stevenson of Brooksville, MS, Roger (Tina) Stevenson of Columbus, MS, and Carol Stevenson of Fairfield, AL, and a step-son, Earnest (Virginia) Dunlap of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Rashard (Brenda) Stevenson of Hampton, VA, Kamaryn, Bridget, Bernae and R.J. Stevenson and Jason and Johnathan Dunlap; two great-grandchildren; Antonise Stevenson, Ka'mareon Holloway; Godchildren, Mildred Stevenson and Joel Lathan; four sisters-in-law, Thelma Stevenson, Alice Stevenson of Chicago, IL,  Ethel Stevenson of Brooksville, MS, and Diana Stevenson of Macon, MS, and a very special niece in law Dorothy Stewart and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
