A Beloved Son, Brother, Nephew, Grandson, Cousin, and Friend

Braylan Glenn Dale was born on January 28, 2009, to Tameka D. Brown and Curtis Smith at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus Mississippi.

Braylan was a bright and loving young man whose presence brought joy, laughter, and light to everyone who knew him. He was known for his contagious smile, sense of humor, strong spirit and he touched lives in ways far beyond his years.

He was a student at Columbus High School where he enjoyed attending extracurricular activities and also worked part time for KFC. Braylan had dreams of becoming the next famous rapper out of Mississippi and he will always be remembered for his love for music.

On January 22, 2026, Braylan gained his wings so he could fly to his eternal place of rest.

Braylan was preceded in death by: maternal great-grandparents, James and Florida Jenkins, Nancy Dale and Johnny Jean Dale and baby cousin, Azariyah Skinner; paternal great-grandparents, Gertrude Smith and Sylvester Smith.

Braylan is survived by his loving mother, Tameka (Rashad) Brown of Columbus MS; his father, Curtis Smith (Shavonne) of Macon, MS; siblings, Shaneterris Stewart, Conner Brown, and Dallas Brown all of Columbus, MS, Curtwon Smith, Kevontae Smith and Kaniya Grassree all of Macon, MS; his maternal grandparents, Bobby and Tonette Dale of Shuqualak, MS; paternal grandparents, Yolanda Smith of Macon and Curtis Bush (Edna Bush) of Macon, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed.
