Obituary

Brent Trevon Hall, affectionately known as "Jeff", went to his Heavenly Home on February 19, 2025. He was 59. Jeff was born July 17, 1966, in Los Angeles, CA to Kay Frances Kidd and Leslie Earl Hall.  His spent his youth there, graduating from Susan Miller Dorsey High School. Soon after, he joined the United States Army.


After receiving his honorable discharge from the Armed Services, Jeff chose Lamar County (Sulligent), AL to make his home. It proved to be his most treasured decision because it was there he met his beautiful bride to be, Celia Hall of Columbus, MS. On December 21, 1987, the couple was joined in holy matrimony by Rev. Ezell Wicks in Columbus, MS. Jeff reaffirmed his faith in Christ as his Lord and Savior at the Fourth Street M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Gus Walker and later served on the deacon board, usher board, and male chorus at the Divine Healing Temple Church founded by Rev. Gus Walker in the summer of 1997.


Jeff enjoyed fishing, hunting, martial arts, and quality time with his family. He was a hardworking man with many talents. He worked for Southwest Carpenters Empower until the Lord called him home.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Kay Frances Kidd and Leslie Earl Hall.


Jeff leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Celia; six beautiful children:
Romekio Hall of Grand Rapids, MI; Shantoria Hall, also of Grand Rapids MI; L. Lashley of Sandy Springs, GA; Shameka Lashley-Taylor (Rarlow) of Killeen, TX; Lavarious Hall of Columbus, MS; and Julius Hall, also of Columbus, MS; five grandchildren: Janiyha Taylor, JaKiyra Taylor, Shavar Hall, Tre Taylor, and Azyah Hall; four brothers: Earl Hall of Los Angeles, CA; Cornell Lashley of Little Rock, AR; Chad Washington of Columbus, MS; and Myron Washington of Columbus, MS; five sisters: Sharron Hall, April Hall, Bunny Hall, all of Los Angeles, CA; Clorisa Lashley of Columbus, MS; and Calandra Lashley of Memphis, TN; Mother in Love, Annie B. Stewart of Memphis ,TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones from around the country.
