BRO. CARL NICHOLSON, SR. was born to Henry and Mattie Nicholson in Macon, MS on May 7, 1945. He was man who was loved by all whom crossed his path. Carl attended schools and received his high school diploma from Noxubee County High School. At the age of 18, he moved to Brooklyn, NY. In December 1987, he later moved to Columbus, MS. He was a hardworking man including his most recent employment as a press operator with Morgan Stanley until retirement. Carl married Martha Nicholson and shared a wonderful bond until her death in 2016.

Bro. Carl Nicholson, Sr. departed this life on July 5, 2026, at his residence. He preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Martha Skinner Nicholson; his siblings: Lorraine Binion, Leonard Nicholson, Curtis, Nicholson, Charles Nicholson, Oscar Nicholson, John Nicholson, Edward Nicholson, Robert Nicholson, Clarence Nicholson, and Julis Nicholson.

Bro. Carl Nicholson's memories will forever be cherished by his children: Cynthia (Dwayne) Young, Carl Nicholson, Jr., and Kelvin (Jessica) Nicholson all of Columbus, MS; eight grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
