"She was fearfully and wonderfully made" Psalm 139:14
Carline, affectionately known to those who knew her well as "Sugar", was born January 5, 1962 to the late Willie M. and Catherine Dunlap in Chicago, IL. She received her childhood education at Paderewski Elementary and graduated from George Westinghouse High School in 1980 proving even then to be a leader by becoming a high ranking officer in her R.O.T.C. Class. She went on to pursue Graphic design at Robert Morris College. In 1995 Carline decided to follow in her Dad's footsteps and began working for Ford Motor Company where she was an active Member of United Auto Workers (UAW) until she retired due to a work injury.
"….Salvation belongs to the Lord" Jonah 2:9
Carline confessed her belief that Jesus is Lord and professed her faith in Jesus Christ when she was nine years old at Second Mount Vernon MBC. She was baptized in 1971 alongside her Dad and her two older siblings by the late Pastor R. H. Patton.
Carline sung in the choir starting with the junior choir, teen choir and combined choirs. She was also a member of the choir after joining Southside Baptist Church. She never turned down a request when asked to sing.
" They'll know we are Christians by our love"

Throughout her lifetime she has raised several children who have gone on to college and are now married with families of their own. Her big personality commanded any room and her love for laughter(family trait) oftentimes worked like good medicine.
