Cathy Harris entered this life on March 8, 1965, to Margaret Harris Weston and Billy Lee Sparks, Sr. She accepted Christ as her personal savior during childhood at Springfield M.B. Church. She attended Motley Schools until graduation in 1983. After high school she began her employment in the restaurant industry serving as Asst. Store Manager for McDonald's and Hardee's.

Cathy was a lady of love. She was everyone's "mom. Children loved to be in her presence, and she loved spoiling children. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing Dominoes, and card games including Spades and UNO. Cathy was a member of Greater Mt. Zion M.B. Church of Brooksville, MS under the leadership of Rev. Randy Brewer.

Cathy departed this life on June 2, 2023. She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Lee Sparks, Sr., Baby Girl Harris, and her son, Sgt. Xantus Kwamaine Harris,.

Cathy leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Margaret Harris Weston;  Sr.; her siblings: Brenda G. (B.L.) McGee, Aretha (Christopher) Goodson, Ethel E. (Leo) McGee, Larina Sparks, Lavina Weston, Jermaine Weston, and JaMika (Derrick) Williams; her grandchild, Kamari Harris; aunts: Rosie Turner, Annie Will Harris, Martha Harris, Annie Rea Harris, Pattie Harris, Patricia Harris, Janie Howard; uncles: Woodrow Harris; McArthur Harris, Arthur Harris, and Ollie James Harris; nephews: Aaron Sparks, Quavis Sherrod, Quincy Weston, Jaelin Bankhead, Carlius  Bankhead, Dexter Swain, William Randle Scott, Preston, McGee, Winston, Scott, and Easton Sherrod; nieces, Erica Bankhead, Crystal Swain, Moriah Scott, Leandra McGee, Lorrin Sparks, Morgan Williams, MacKenzie Williams, Amari Swain, Aubree Swain, Margeaux Scott Oaklyn Gray, Nala Bates, and Kennedy Spann; special cousins: Jennifer Harris, Shatanya Turner, and Franscine Harris; special friends: Sarah Hill, Tony Taylor, and Gail Stevenson; and a host of other cousins, friends, and relatives.
