On Wednesday, February 21, 2024, Charlotte Diane Selvie left behind her love, kindness, and beautiful spirit that touched the lives of many. Charlotte's journey began on June 27, 1974, in Macon, MS to the parents of Ella Selvie and Dock Coleman.

She confessed her belief in Christ at an early age and joined Oakland M.B. Church in Crawford, MS where she was a member of the sunbeam and junior choir.

Her childhood education included Crawford Elementary School and West Lowndes High School where she was a 1992 graduate. During her high school tenure, Charlotte played softball and basketball where she was a star player. She was known for eagerness, tenacity and hard work on the court and the field. Charlotte was a true alumnus of West Lowndes High School supporting all of the sports.  She was also a member of the Crawford Softball Team. Charlotte attended Itawamba Community College where she obtained an associate degree.

Charlotte's work career included the Mississippi Regional Retardation Center, Ingalls Shipyard, Treasure Bay Casino and Bryan Foods. Her hobbies were shopping, traveling, cooking, playing and watching basketball. She always had fun, smiled, and made a lasting impression on whomever she met. She was known for her Diva personality especially wearing her designer purses, tennis shoes, and  keeping her nails and hair immaculate.

She is preceded in death by her father, Dock Coleman and daughter, Nykedra Selvie.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Ella Dell Selvie of Crawford, MS; children, Chadyella Selvie of Columbia, SC and Jerquallian Selvie of Fort Riley, KS, Leo Selvie (GrandDog), Fatmama Selvie; siblings, George (Twana) Selvie of Pensacola, FL, Dock Selvie, Kevin (Tionne) Selvie both of Mobile, AL, Fredrick (Patricia) Selvie of Columbus, MS.  She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
