Obituary

Curtis C. Bush was born March 16, 1962 to Cleo Bush and Georgia Mae Thompkins Bush in Macon, MS.

He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Bethel M. B. Church under the leadership of Rev. C.S. Hale.

He departed this life on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, George Bush, and a grandson, Braylan Dale.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Edna Lomax Bush; children, five daughters, Maria Snell of Starkville, MS, Marnita Lomax of Shuqualak, MS, Martrice White of Meridian, MS, Shavae (Marcus) Tate and Kierra Nicholson both of Macon, MS; three sons, Curtis (Shavonne) Smith of Macon, MS, Dejarvis (Denesha) Bush of Paloalto, CA, and Laterrance Bulkhalter of Murfreesboro, TN; three sisters, Emma (Willie) Halbert and Barbara Cheatham both of Macon, MS, Betty Bush Roby of Lawrenceville, GA; two brothers, Cleo (Birdie) Bush and Larry (Shanda) Bush both of Macon, MS; one aunt, Dollie Mae Taylor; seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family.
