Deacon Charles E. Hill was born on October 11, 1934, in Shuqualak, MS to the late Mr. Alonzo and Penny B. Hill.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, planting flowers in the garden and attending the Sunshine Club for Seniors in Macon, MS. He worked at Shuqualak Lumbar Company until the year of 1996 and retired at age 62. He was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 22, 2024. Charles confessed hope in Christ at an early age and united with Asbury Methodist Church. Later in life, he joined New Jerusalem Pentecostal Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Alonzo and Penny B. Hill; one son, Mr. Howard Earl Hill; five brothers; Alonzo Hill Jr., Joe Lee Hill, Nelson Hill, Walter Hill, James Hill; six sisters; Sylvia Lee Hill, Sarah Hill Catlett, Leslie Hill, Ethel Hill Black, Josie Hill, and Jane Alice Hill.

He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife Elnoria Hill of Shuqualak, MS; four sons, Curtis Little (Lillie Little) of Shuqualak, MS, Charles Hill Jr. (Elnoria Hill) of Shuqualak, MS, Kenny J. Hill of Shuqualak, MS, Harvey L. Hill of Shuqualak, MS, Jimmy Hill of Shuqualak, MS; two daughters, Brenda L. Hill of Shuqualak, MS and Helen Hill Simpson of Shuqualak, MS; eighteen grand- children; as well as a host of great grandkids, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
