Obituary

Bobby Hill was born to Mary Alice Hill and O.D. Williams on September 06,1952 in Lowndes County.

He departed this life on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital Golden Triangle. He confessed hope in Christ as a young adult and united with Stephen Chapel Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a Deacon, a member of the mass choir and male choir. He also served as a trustee, a member of the Community Outreach Food Pantry Committee, as well as other capacities in the church until his health failed.

Bobby was a man that loved God and exemplified faith in God through the life that he lived and his testimonies that he so freely shared. He was a humble and a quiet man, a man of few words, but a man of many deeds of kindness and compassion. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved and cherished his wife, Luvenia, dearly. He was always by her side to aid her in any task that she endeavored to do up to and including rearing and caring for their children, grandchildren and great-grand
children. He also labored with her in the care of her aging parents even when their health failed and around the clock care was required. He wore many hats and served in many capacities with pride and dignity. He was a skilled carpenter and often aided friends, family and strangers in the repairs and upkeep of their homes and properties. He was eager to lend a helping hand wherever needed, called upon and or when he observed that he could make a difference.

Bobby was united in holy matrimony on February 24, 1979 to Luvenia. This union included six children. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; aunt, Betty Jones; one sister, Mary Porter; eight brothers, Bill Hill, Sammie Williams, John D. Williams, James E. Williams, Bobby Williams, Nathaniel Williams, Arthur Wills and Wade Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of forty−six years, Luvenia Hill; six children, Ibe (Jessica) Walker, Bobby Bishop, Trevino Walker, of Columbus, MS, Monte Jones, Memphis, TN, Jacqueline (Christopher) Lewis, and Chandra Jones, of Cordova, TN; fifteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; sisters, Willie Hill, Mittie Ford, Laurel (Larry) Hopkins, Susie Williams, Mattie Pearl, (Reggie) Allen, Patricia Williams, Diana Williams, Teri Gay White, and Willie Mae (Tommie) Frazier; brother−in−law, Joe Porter; brothers, Otis (Brenda) Williams, Tommie Lee (Gloria) Williams, Lewis (Vicky) Williams, Leon Williams, Eddie James, (Delois) Williams, Freddie B. Williams, Fernandez Wiliams, and Lucious Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
