Mr. Derrick Bernard Wallace was born in East St. Louis, MO on February 16, 1983, to Mary Wallace and John Earl Rucker.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lewis & Marie Wallace, Anna Lee Rucker; and his uncle, Lewis Wallace Jr.

He confessed Christ at an early age at the Belmont M.B. Church located in Cooksville, MS. Later, he joined the Noxcedar M.B. Church under the leadership of Pastor Admise Gandy.

He has been married since 2012 to the lovely, Erica Pope-Wallace.

He attended EMCC and was also a part of the EMCC choir.

Mr. Derrick Wallace leaves to cherish his love and memories: his beloved wife, Erica Pope-Wallace of Macon, MS; two children, Emersyn and Emery Wallace; his mother, Mary Wallace; father, John Earl (Joanne) Rucker; mother-in-love, Brenda Pope; one brother, Tierre Wallace of Macon, MS, one sister, Sophia (Emanuel) Barnes, Nashville, TN; aunts, Marie Wallace, Donna (Barry) Ferrow, Bonnie (James) Smith, Tina (Roger) Stevenson, Cream McCloud, Brundia (LC) Jones, Anita Spann-Hill, and Latasha McCloud–Jones; uncles, Johnnie B. Wallace, Willie Wallace, Tommie C. Wallace, Frederick Preston, Ira Lee (Travonder) McCloud and Montrell (Sonjh) Rucker. He also leaves to cherish a host of relatives and friends.
