Dock "Dike" Coleman was born February 6, 1945 in Columbus, Mississippi to Mr. Bill and Mrs. Edith Ann Coleman.
He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Oak Grove M.B. Church.
He worked for Lowndes County Maintenance Shop for 16 ½ years and also for Lowndes County School District (West Lowndes) for 15 years until he retired. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. Dock loved to
have fun no matter where he went.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Eddie "Bill" Coleman (dad) and Mrs. Edith Ann Coleman (mom), Nykedra Selvie (granddaughter), India Jackson (step-granddaughter); two sisters: Annie Jane Mosby and Ellen Mae McNair; nine brothers: John Coleman, Charles Coleman, Willie Coleman, Emmitt Coleman, George Coleman, Wiley Coleman, Ned Coleman, Raymond Coleman, and Tommie Lee Coleman.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Hattie Dell Coleman of Crawford, MS; one brother, Robert (Frances) Coleman of Indianapolis, IN; five children, Dock Selvie, Kevin (Tionne) Selvie both of Mobile, AL, Fredrick (Patricia) Selvie of Columbus, MS, Charlotte Selvie of Crawford, MS, and Kim Johnson of Kankakee, IL; three step-children, Howard Dickerson of Columbus, MS, Angela (Frederick) Jackson and Tracy (Martin) Bevill both of Crawford, MS; 11 grandchildren, 9 step- grandchildren, 9 sisters-in-law and 5 brothers-in-law; he also leaves a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
