Edith Martin was born on December 10, 1932 in Columbus, MS. She was the daughter of King, Sr. and Mary Fenton.

Edith confessed her life to Christ at an early age.

Edith departed this life on September 24, 2024. The family is comforted in knowing that God has the final say. She could not have left this world before God was ready for her so this is the family saying "To God be the glory, amen."

Edith is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Martin; her sons, Kent Martin, Charles Martin and Rickey Martin; her daughter, Jacqueline Beslow; her siblings, Annie Smith, Celeste Fenton, Lucille Collins, Emma Fenton, Sallie Knight, King Fenton, Jr. and Dan Fenton.

Edith leaves to celebrate her life and memories: her children, Mattie (Robert) Wilkins, Curley Martin both of Columbus, MS, Michael (Felecia) Martin of Murfreesboro, TN and Steven White of Nashville, TN; her siblings, Ann Treadwell of Columbus, MS and Freddie Fenton of Tibbee, MS; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
