Edward E Murray was born on January 5,1934 to the union of Ed and Lonie Gray Murray in Macon, MS. He was the eldest of thirteen children.

He attended Macon Public School and after completing his education; he moved to St. Louis, MO. He met the love of his life, Willene Sutton and  two children were born, Edward E. and Patricia Ann.

He later moved to Chicago, IL where he met Gladys Russell and three children were born, Rita, Tyrone and Sophonia.

He was employed at National Power Roding for many years as a driver. He retired and moved back to Macon, MS. He joined Noxcedar Baptist Church and remained faithful until his health failed.

He is preceded death by his parents; wife, Gladys Russell Murray;  two grandchildren, Maurice Thomas and Edward Sutton, step-son, Arthur Lee Pringle; siblings, JD, William"Charlie", Louis, Willie B, Bobby and Wiley; two sisters-in-law, Annie and Geraldine.

He leaves to cherished five children, Edward E. Sutton and Patricia Murray (Curtis) Diggs both of Chicago, IL, Rita (Charles) Turner, Tyrone Murray and Sophronia Murray Smith all of Austin, TX, his siblings, Fill Murray, Leroy (Eppie) Murray, Johnny Murray, Nevordia Murray, Janet Murray all of Macon, MS and Mary A. Murray of Chicago, IL; daughter-in-law, Johnny Marie Pringle of Chicago, IL and two sisters-in-law, Mamie Murray of Clarksville, TN and Alice Murray of Macon, MS; brothers-in-law, Charles and Bernard Russell both of Chicago, IL; niece, Annie Grace Spellman of Meridian, MS; eighteen grandchildren, forty four great- grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
