Essie Lee Dora was born April 7, 1949 to Lucy Richardson and Bobby Willis. She confused to Christ at an early age at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.

She was formerly employed with Columbus Air Force Base custodial services for many years and also Johnston Tombigbee Furniture for over 25 years. She found her heart pierced by the love and affection of John Paul Dora.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, one brother and one sister.

She leaves to cherish beautiful and precious memories; her one brother, Johnnie (Ruby) Richardson of Columbus, MS; her children, Hattie (Sim) Curry, Halfred Dora, Kelby (Tiffany) Dora, Shaneka (Gregory) Brooks and Shenna Dora all of Columbus, MS. She also leaves her five grandchildren, one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; a special friend, Lillie Wade.
