Obituary

Ms. Fannie Mae "Sista" Taylor was born on October 19, 1953 to T.C. Taylor and Mary Lou Beamon Taylor. She was a member of East St Louis Senior High School in East St. Louis, IL

Sista was an excellent cook. She was employed at Johnson Tombigbee from 1974-2002 and later employed with Pride of the South Catfish until 2013.

Sista confessed hope in Christ and joined the Springhill M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. J.B. Spencer and remained faithful under the leadership of Pastor Montrell Rucker until her health failed.

Sista married F.L Washington on September 14, 1973 and to this union four children were born. They later divorced but remained friends.

Sista departed this life on August 9, 2022 at Noxubee General Hospital in Macon, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, T.C. and Mary Lou Taylor; six brothers, Walter Earl, O.C., James Sidney, Henry, and R.C. Taylor.

Sista memories will forever be cherished by three daughters, Kimyata (John) Harris of Columbus, MS,  Lakevia (Barry) Smith and Jamia (Richard) Neal all of Macon, MS; one son, Jermaine (Coketha) Washington of Macon, MS; nine grandchildren, Miracle and Jermaine Washington of Columbus, MS, Keidra and Barry Smith, Kamora and Kamadre Washington, Ty Quari Hollis, Aritariana and Eric Duck all of Macon, MS; one sister, Hattie Clark of East St. Louis, IL; one brother, Jerry (Verlean) Taylor of Macon, MS; one bonus daughter, Kimbrika Washington (Mariah Jamison) of Columbus, MS; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
