George B. Williams was born on April 19, 1956, to Willie B. Williams and Emma Williams. He was baptized and was a member of Beulah Full Gospel Baptist Church. George proudly served his community through his roles with Lowndes County and later with the Town of Artesia Public Works Department. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

George departed this life on June 15, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital GT in Columbus, MS.

He was preceded in death by his father, Willie B. Williams, his mother, Emma Williams, his brother, Eddie B. Clay, and his sisters, Carrie Williams, Clara Brewer Snell, and Willie Mae Poe. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas R. Bailey II, his nephews, Larry Williams and Darrell Snell, and great- nephew, Demario Snell.

George's memories will forever be cherished by his daughters, Yotashio (Nicholas) Bailey of McCalla, AL, and Kimberly Tobias of Jackson, MS; his grandchildren, De'Angelo Bailey of Huntsville, AL, Sa'Vannah Bailey of McCalla, AL, Ladarrius Patterson, and Michael Harris of Jackson, MS; and his brother, Willie (Kathy) Clay of Artesia, MS. He is also survived by his nieces, Mattie James, Mamie Johnson, Pearl Coleman, Marie Snell, and Julia Edwards, all of Artesia, MS; his nephews, Mitchel (Shenill) Snell of Flint, MI, Luther (Linda) Williams of Beaumont, TX, Rico McGee, and Antonio Snell of Artesia, MS; as well as a host of great-nieces, great- nephews, cousins and friends.
