Georgia Mae Moody was born on March 22, 1931 in Lowndes County, MS to Ella Whitfield and John Wesley Moody, Sr.  She accepted Christ and joined Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a faithful member until her health failed.  She passed peacefully on December 19, 2022.

Georgia was united in matrimony to Mr. Joe Nathan Taylor of Milan, TN and to this union one son, Billy David Taylor was born on January 12, 1954.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, John Moody, Sr. and Ella Whitfield Moody; six brothers and one sister, Arthur James, Willie Lee, Robert Lee, Jesse James, John Jr., Leon, and Viola Webber.
