Gregory Deon Dowd was born July 4, 1987 to James Bailey, Jr and Lucinda Dowd.

Gregory Attended Noxubee County High School.

He departed this life on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Baptist Memorial Hospital–GT in Columbus, MS.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lowrenzo Perry and James Rogers Bailey, Sr, his aunts, Beverly Bailey, Bessie McGee, Janice Hill and Martha Lanier.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his parents, James (Hattie) Bailey, Jr and Lucinda (Derrick) Dowd Brown; his wife, Michelle Williams Dowd; his children, Gregory Deon Dowd, Jr, Ke’ashia Williams, Marion Williams and Kierra Williams; two special grandmothers, Lucinda Dowd of Brooksville, MS and Gennie Bailey of Columbus, MS; his siblings, Zopora Dowd, Tenesha Harris both of Columbus, MS, Porsha Hunter of Tupelo, MS; his special brothers, Antonio Forbes Chandler, Jayontae “PC” Parks, Alfonso Wells, Derrick Wells, Marcus Young, Terrance Colvin, Courtney “Rico” Parks, Khiry Erby and Paris Wells; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
