Helen Jean Clay was born December 23, 1951 to the late Eddie and Priscilla Clay. She confessed Christ at an early age at Baldwyn United Methodist Church where she remained until God called her home. Helen was a devoted and loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend.
Helen enjoyed watching football and talking on the phone with her sisters Dian and Ruby. She also enjoyed talking to her special friend Katina Black, talking and traveling with her special friend Ilean Wells, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She transitioned on June 10, 2026 at North Mississippi Medical Center.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Priscilla Clay; sisters and brothers, Hattie Clay, Vastie Farmer, Eddie Clay Jr. Johnny Clay, Robert Clay, Russell Clay, and Bettie Lane.
She is survived by her loving children: two sons, Mauriel Clay of Belleville, IL and William (Sierra) Clay of Hattiesburg, MS; four daughters, Lakeisia Clay, Andrea Clay and Tiffany Clay all of Brooksville, MS; Natonya (Toreze) Murray of Biloxi, MS; two sisters, Ruby Lane and Dian (Robert) Stewart both of Brooksville, MS; one brother, James C. Clay of Cahokia, IL; six grandsons; six granddaughters, and two great-granddaughters whom she loved dearly and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
