Henrietta
Williams-Blevins
September 30, 1958 – October 23, 2025
Henrietta Williams-Blevins was born September 30, 1958, in Hamilton, Mississippi to the late Henry and Cora Williams.
On Thursday, October 23, 2025, the angels came and carried her home to a place of beauty – where there is no pain, no sorrow, only peace, joy, and a love that never ends. She was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church, Hamilton, MS. She enjoyed working in the church and singing in the Gospel Choir until her health began to fail. She attended Hamilton school, worked in Hamilton and Columbus, MS until she retired.
Henrietta loved singing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She will be cherished by all who knew her and remembered by that bright smile. She treasured every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, friends, and family. The way she filled our days with her warmth, kindness and laughter has left a void in our lives. Whether preparing a holiday meal together, sharing laughs in the living room, or just sitting near her, she was happiest when her people were close. She was devoted to her family and took great pride in caring for them. Throughout the family she was known for her "fried chicken".
Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Cora Williams, sister, Sammie J. Williams, brother, Napoleon Williams, both of Hamilton, MS.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband Larry G. Blevins; sons: Tyrone D. (Kalisha) Blevins, Columbus, MS, Titus Blevins, Hamilton, MS; daughters, Talanda Blevins, and Tessicka Verner, Hamilton, MS; sisters, Hazel Beeks, Amory, MS, Yolander Jones, Laura McCrary, Columbus, MS: brothers, Eugene Williams, Hamilton, MS, and Raymond Williams, Caledonia, MS. She also leaves 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Henrietta will best be remembered as a "quiet soul, with a big heart".
