Nov 28, 1951 — Jun 29, 2026
Columbus
Icie Bell Wrench, born on November 28, 1951, to Clinton Barn and Johnnie B. Frison in Columbus, Mississippi, gracefully journeyed into eternal rest. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and cherished friend, she embodied compassion and warmth throughout her life.
From a young age, Icie confessed her hope in Christ and became an integral part of Brick M.B. Church, where she served faithfully on the usher board and the decorating committee. Her strong faith was a guiding light for many.
Icie was a proud high school graduate of R.E. Hunt High School Class of 1970 and furthered her education at the Mississippi University for Women. She had a fulfilling career, retiring as the Housing Coordinator at the West Point Housing Authority for 22 years, and also contributed her talents at Safe Haven Shelter for 30 years.
Her passions included reading and riding, activities that brought her joy and solace.
Icie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Wrench, her parents, and four brothers: Richard, Nathaniel, Melvin, and Michael Moody.
She is survived by her devoted son, Vincent Morris of Columbus, MS; her adoring grandson, Coleman Morris; her loving sisters, Delories Washington, Virginia Harris, Eartha Jamison all of Columbus, MS; her brother, Anthony (LaNise) Frison; dear sisters-in-law, Ester Moody of Muskegon Heights, MI; Katherine Moody of Columbus, MS and Fannie Moody of Artesia, MS; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends who will forever cherish her memories.
Icie Bell Wrench’s life was a tapestry woven with love, faith, and resilience. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
