Ida Mae Coley was the daughter of Willie James Harris and Florence Phinizee Harris, born on February 12, 1944 in Columbus, MS.  She made her transition to eternal peace on Thursday, March 30, 2023.

Ida confessed in Christ at an early age.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking, tending to her yard and flowers, and fishing.

Ida is preceded in death by her parents, her son, David Lee Harris; her siblings, Star Lee Harris and Willie C. Harris, and her great-granddaughter, Destin Young.

Ida leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Elijah Coley; 5 sons, Raymond (Lessie) Harris, Dennis Ellis, Derrick Ellis, Elijah L. Coley and Willie Coley of Columbus, MS; 4 daughters, Hellen Lewis, Florence Ellis-Smith of Columbus, MS and Necole (Cedrick) Ellis-Baker, Donna (Antonio) Ellis-Ponder of Clinton, MS; 3 special children, Dennis Ellis, Jr., Joia Hardison, and Ahzoria Harkins, all of Columbus, MS; sisters, Geraldine (James) Petty and Dian (Harold) Patmon; brothers, Tommie Lee Harris, Odis Will Harris, Sylvester Harris of Columbus, MS and Ira B. Harris of Chicago, IL; 2 sisters-in-love, Catherine Harris and Loretta Harris; one uncle, John (Jack) Phinizee, 30 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
