Mother Jacqueline Shanklin entered this world on May 30, 1967, to Wazzie and John Shanklin, Sr. She was born and raised in the Noxubee County, MS where she attended and received her education. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at the age of 29 during a revival with Apostle Tommie C. Harris.

Jacqueline later moved to Columbus, MS in 1995. While in Columbus, her passion for nurturing children led her to begin her in-home childcare service. She blessed many children with the personal love and care needed for development for over 30 years. Mother Jacqueline loved cooking and attending church. She attended Holy Ghost Temple Deliverance under the leader of her son-in-law, Apostle Donny Fields.

Mother Shanklin transitioned to eternal rest on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. She is preceded in death by her mother, Wazzie Joiner Shanklin; daughter, Ashley Victoria Shanklin; two sisters, Janet Shanklin-Davis and Linda Shanklin; two brothers, Martin Shanklin and James Shanklin.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Monica (Donny) Fields of Hamilton, MS; two sons: Cedric Shanklin and Jermaine Shanklin both of Columbus, MS; her father, John Shanklin, Sr.; four sisters, Peggy McCleod of Columbus, MS, John L. McCoy of Macon MS, Annie Rose Harris of Brooksville, MS, and Angela Shanklin of Macon, MS; four brothers, John Shanklin, Jr. of Huntsville, AL, Tecumesh Shanklin of Macon, MS, Bourgeois Shanklin of Columbus, MS, and Bankhead Shanklin of West Point, MS; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
