Obituary

James Earl Anthony was born May 23, 1950 to the late Louis Albert and Mattie Bell (Fifer) Anthony in Crawford, MS.

James accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age at Oakland M.B. Church in Crawford, MS.  Later, he became a member of Wrights Chapel U.M. Church in Crawford, MS, he continued to serve until he departed his life on May 11, 2022 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

He graduated from B. F. Liddell High School in 1970.  He ventured to Chicago, IL, worked for Zenith until he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force.  He served his country for 20 years and 28 days and 28 min.

James Earl Anthony was preceded in death by grandparents: George (Judith) Anthony III, Sam (Lucy Ann) Fifer; siblings, Judith Galindo, Bertha Johnson, Martha Anthony, Sherry Morales, Deloistene Menedoza, George Anthony, Phillip Anthony, Leroy Anthony, Billy Mose Anthony, Freddie Anthony, Louis Anthony Jr., and John Albert Anthony.

James loved to look in the Trade Wind, go fishing, and shopping. He was loved and respected by all who knew him well. The love and respect he gained and enjoyed from family, friends, and neighbors was greatly appreciated.

James leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife Clarita S. Anthony. His loving sisters: Mrs. Hattie O'Neal, and Ms. Mattie Anthony of Brooksville, MS, Mrs. Eula Newhouse of Flint. MI, Mrs. Elizabeth Estrella of Crawford, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends
