James Albert Jones was born on June 28, 1949 in Columbus, MS to the late Albert and Fannie B Jones. James Albert received his wings on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, MS at 4:50am.
James Albert was baptized at an early age. He attended Concord School and Hunt in his early years. He left school to help his parents with farming the family land and helping with the care of his younger siblings. Later in life, he was employed at Baldor Electric for more than 30 years. Where he received his GED and worked as CnC operator. He was a very intelligent entrepreneur with several own and operated businesses throughout his life.
He loved his family and would give you the shirt off his back. He would take breakfast to the elderly members in the family on Sunday morning. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He had a passion for people. He also loved to try this luck at the dog track .
He was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Ross.
James Albert leaves to cherish his memories: seven loving children, Kim McCain of Milwaukee, WI, Frederika Bardley, Victoria (Robert) Cunning, Victor (Latriece) Stewart, Nola Stewart, Ricardo Mosley, and Brittany Mosley all of Columbus, MS; 12 grandchildren, RaShaun McCain and RaShaunda McCain of Milwaukee, WI, Cameron Bradley and Chyna Bradley of Memphis, TN, Jalen Stewart, Donnell Clopton, Jaleah Stewart, Rakiya Cunning, Raniya Cunning, Nolinn Mosby, Carly Lang, and Nova Mosby all of Columbus, MS; 12 great-grandchildren, Niy'Shaun McCain, Taleah Dorsey, Kylin McCain all of Milwaukee, WI, Kortlyn Kimbrough, Karcyn Kimbrough, A'mir Marshall, Chasin Bradley, Caisley Smith all of Memphis, TN, Kaison Stewart, Zayne Stewart, Brielle Stewart, and Talen Stewart all of Columbus, MS; four sisters, Alberta Jones, Juanita Marks, Shirley Jones and Alice Thompson all of Columbus, MS; four brothers, David Jones, Sr, Adam (Jewel) Jones, Ernest (Bobbie) Jones, and Marvin Jones all of Columbus, MS.
He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
