Obituary

Pastor James Rupert, born January 9, 1951 in Macon Mississippi to the late Ruben
Rupert Sr. and the late Georgia Anna Rupert. There were 10 children born to this union,
Pastor James was the 3 rd oldest child, and he had three siblings to precede him in death. He
confessed Christ, on the mourning bench and was baptized at a young age at Toliver Chapel
Church in Macon MS, and he faithfully served in the church during his lifetime.

After graduating from BF Liddell High School, James lived and worked for short time
in Chicago Illinois. After some time there, he moved back to Macon Mississippi and married
his loving wife, the late Joyce Marie Farmer Rupert on December 25, 1973. He
affectionately referred to his wife as "Love", and they were married over 50 years in holy
matrimony.

He was a member of and worked as a Sunday School Superintendent and as a Deacon
at Toliver Chapel MB Church for many years. Pastor James became an ordained Minister in
2013, and he was selected to Pastor at Prairie Grove MB Church in Brooksville MS, where
he and his wife, First Lady Joyce, served faithfully. Pastor James and his wife were God
parents to many children over the years through love and devotion.

He was employed as a welder and worked at Cal Jac Inc and Trailor Boss Trailers in
Macon MS; and worked the remainder and majority of his career at Taylor Machine Works
in Louisville MS, where he retired.

Pastor James Rupert leaves to cherish his memories three sisters: Lula Bell Gardner
(Earvin), Veneta Armistad (Willie), and Brenda Rupert, all of Macon, MS. He leaves three
brothers: Joseph Rupert, Willie Rupert (Sandra), Franklin Rupert, all of Macon Ms. Three
brothers preceded him in death (Johnny, Ruben Jr., and Maurice). He leaves two sister-n-
laws, Annie Ruth Anderson (Jerry) of St. Louis Mo and Marilyn Farmer of Brooksville, MS;
and one brother n law, RL Farmer (Mary) of St. Louis Mo. Three brother n laws preceded
him in death, Jerry, Tom (Esther), and Ralph Farmer. He leaves one special Aunt, Brazella
Beck, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in

him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John: 3:16
