Jameta Roshunda Jones was born January 23, 1989 in Columbus, MS to Deloris Jones and James Ball.

Jameta was a devoted and loving daughter, mother, and sister who enjoyed spending time with her children and family. She was a loving friend, who would babysit for her friends and whomever would ask of her. Jameta attended the Columbus City Schools and graduated in 2009 and later worked in the HealthCare Industry.

Jameta accepted Christ at an early age and developed her own personal relationship with Christ.

Jameta departed this life on May 29, 2025 in Tupelo, MS. She is preceded in death by: her son, Kolby Isaiah Jones; and her grandmother, Magnolia Johnson.

Jameta leaves to cherish her precious memories to her two precious daughters: Jasielle and Zoey, her parents, Deloris Jones and James Earl Ball; three siblings, James G. Jones, Gregory Perry both of Columbus, MS and Antonio Long of Las Vegas, NV; her step-grandmother, Pauline Lee; her uncles, Sammie Earl (Rochelle) Lee, Lonnie (Sheba) Morgan, Earnest (Jessie) Ball, Henry Ball, and Albert Ball all of Columbus, MS; her aunts, Freda McCrary and Paula (Kovlavi) Mensah of Atlanta, GA, Elaine (Charles) Faison of Cincinnati, OH, Elizabeth Cockrell of Columbus, MS and Angela Culp of Memphis, TN; three special Heaven sent sisters, Brianna, Laquia, and Deja; special cousins, Brandi, Amber, KeKe, Johnny Mac, Courtney, Larry, Jr, Marcus and Simone; and a host of cousins and friends.
