Javarest Deonte' Gray was born October 31, 1994, in Columbus, MS. He accepted Christ as his savior at a young age and was baptized at Southside M.B. Church. He later moved to Starkville, MS where he attended the Starkville Schools and graduated from West Oktibbhea School in 2013. Javarest  continued his education at Rust College and East Mississippi Community College earning his associate degree. He was employed with Yokohama Tire for the last 6 years.

Javarest had a love for basketball at a young age. He began his basketball career playing at the YMCA and continued through high school with the West Oktibbhea Timberwolves. He not only loved the game on the court but off the court as well. His favorite team was the Los Angeles Lakers and favorite basketball player was Kobe Bryant. Jay's gift and talents would extend into clothing where he started his own clothing label, "Risk Takers".
Javarest departed this life on February 22, 2023. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ernestine Lyons.

Javarest memories will forever be cherished by: his parents, Lestonio (Charles) Yarbrough and Willie T. (Judy) Gray; his siblings, Willie T. Gray, Jr., Victory Yarbrough, Chase Gray, and Rayne Gray; his step-sisters and brother, Fantasia Cruz, Rainey Yarbrough, and Quadrez Neely; his grandparents, Jimmie Lyons, Rachel (John) Barry, and Willie (Virginia) Westbrook; his bonus grandparents, Charles and Bertha Yarbrough; his bonus great-grandmother, Eliza Ford; and special friend, Breyuna Lenior.  He also leaves a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
