Jerlando "Lando" Porter was born May 5, 1981 in Columbus, MS to Rosie & Jimmie Taylor and Lawrence Jordan. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Faith Center. Jerlando lived his life between the cities of Columbus, MS and Indianapolis, IN.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother Dorothy Porter, grandfather, Oscar Ellis, and grandmother, Katie Jordan.

He leaves to cherish is loving memories:  his daughter, Zarah Aaliyah Woods of Tuscaloosa, AL; his mother and father, Rosie & Jimmie Taylor of Columbus, MS; his birthfather, Lawrence Jordan of Alabama; sisters:  Twanna Porter-Rice of Indianapolis, IN,  Jacqueline (Marvin) Vickers of Columbus, MS, Tina (Shock) Porter of Columbus, MS, Jennifer and Tracy Taylor both of Memphis, TN; brother, Lawrence Porter of Columbus, MS. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
