Obituary

Jimmie Ann "Candy" Parker was born November 18, 1958, in San Francisco, CA to Jimmy Lee and Rose Ann Adams.

She confessed to Christ at an early age in Columbus, MS. Candy was raised in Columbus until the eighth grade at which time she and her mother moved to Scott AFB in Illinois where she finished school at Mascoutah High School.

Candy met and married Michael L. Parker in Illinois to which one son, Michael C. Parker was born. She was also blessed with two grandchildren and countless other friends and extended family. During her spare time, she enjoyed traveling, listening to music, and helping others. She was employed in retail sales, as well as civil service with the U.S. government until retirement.

Candy departed this life on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Phillip Elmore.

Candy's memories will forever be cherished by: her husband, Michael Parker; her son, Michael (Christy) Parker; two grandchildren, Brandon and Ann Marie Parker; one sister, Doris L. Elmore; her nephews,  Phillip Elmore, Terry Elmore, and Gary Schofield; two great nieces, Isabella and Jordan Elmore; and a host of extended family and friends.
