Jimmy Oliver Lowe was born on July 23, 1946, to Thomas and Jimmie Lowe in Lowndes County, Mississippi. On December 28, 2022, Jimmy transitioned to his earthly home. Jimmy confessed Christ at an early and was a longtime member of Hopewell M.B. Church. He was employed with several industries until retirement including: United Technologies, Mettalloy, and Delta International. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, and family time. He was a huge fan of the Miami Dolphins.

Jimmy is preceded by: his parents; brothers: Thomas T. Lowe,  Willie D. Lowe, Jimmy D. Lowe, and sister, Jimmie Ella Verner.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife, Dorothy Lowe; children: Jimmie Ann Lowe and Ellis Dell Lowe of Columbus, MS, Antonio (Lori) Prowell of Jackson, MS, Sandra (Calvin) Peoples of Terry, MS,  Anthony Wayne Lowe of Grand Rapids, MI, Tracy Lynn Lowe and Brian Cory Lowe of Chicago, IL; brothers: J.W. Lowe of Hamilton, MS, Thomas L. (Loda) Lowe and Donald Lowe both of Caledonia, MS, O'Dell (Patricia) Lowe of Troy, IL, Roy C. Lowe of Atlanta, GA, and Charles McMath of Jasper, AL; four sisters: Juanita Gholson of Columbus, MS, Barbara Nell Hollivay Chicago, IL, Loretta Hollivay of Hamilton, MS , and Annie G. (Raymond) Thomas of Atlanta, GA; 33 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
