Obituary

Sister Johnnie Pearl Taylor was born on September 23, 1935 to the late Scott and Rhoda Stewart. Johnnie Pearl departed this earthly life on May 24, 2023 at her home.

Johnnie Pearl confessed her life to Christ at an early age at the Mount Zion M.B. Church. She was a lifetime member that served faithfully on the Missionary Society Board and the True Praise Choir. Johnnie Pearl hobby was gardening. She enjoyed planting beautiful flowers and vegetables for her family to enjoy.

Johnnie Pearl married at an early age to the late Walter Taylor. To this union, four children were born: Diane, Eunice, Sandra, and Cozene.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; 2 sisters: Nola Mae Conner, Aretha Fletcher; 1 brother, Willie Stewart, 1 grandchild, Courtney Dowd Taylor.

Johnnie Pearl leaves to cherish her legacy: 3 daughters: Diane Taylor, Eunice (Joe) Scales, and Sandra Taylor all of Macon, MS; 1 brother, Cozene (Wiladen) Taylor of Pickensville, AL; 2 sisters: Bernice Forte of Macon, MS and Loretta (Vincent) Gore of Columbus, MS; 2 brothers: James Stewart of Kalamazoo, MI and Scott (Delphine) Stewart of Macon, MS; 9 grand- children: Nicole Taylor Tate, Fernandas (Ashley) Taylor  both of Columbus, MS, Quinton (Shambrella) Taylor of Dallas,  TX, Demetries Taylor, Laranda Taylor both of Macon, MS, Cozene Taylor, Jr. of Chicago, IL,  and Centrell Taylor and Mylar Taylor both of Pickensville, AL; 9 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
