Jonathan Harris, Jr.  was born on December 2, 1977, in Macon, MS to the parents, Jonathan Harris, Sr. and Annie Rose Harris. He attended the Noxubee County Schools and received his high school diploma. After high school, he began working and continued working for a number of years with several companies including: New Process Steel and Cooper Tire. Jonathan, known as "Big Joe", enjoyed have fun. He was a fan of football with his favorite team being the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jonathan departed this life on December 16, 2024, in Batesville, MS.

He is preceded in death by his father; and his grandmother, Wazzie M. Shanklin.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Annie Rose Harris of Macon, MS; his son, Kaminski Bankhead of Columbus, MS; grandfather, John Ellie Shanklin, Sr of Macon, MS; his sisters: Chiquita Harris and Stormi Harris both of Columbus, MS, April Harris of Macon, MS, and Lasonya Harris of Houston, TX; one brother, Laquantius (Camille) Harris of Chicago, IL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
