Kelby Dora was born on June 24, 1978, in Columbus, MS to John Paul and Essie Lee Dora. He confessed Christ at an early age at Calvary M. B. Church.

He was formerly employed with New Home building stores for 15 years then Cash and Carry building supply as an accounts manager.
He loved to spend time with family and friends, sing, dance, play with his dogs and watch his favorite teams the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Dallas Cowboys.

Kelby is preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law Lawonda Sturdivant.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Tiffany Sturdivant-Dora of 2 years of Columbus, MS; 2 children, Kelby Dora, Jr. and Makiya Robinson; 4 siblings, Halfred Dora, Hattie (Sim) Curry, Shaneka (Gregory) Brooks and Shenna Dora all of Columbus, MS; 2 brothers-in-law, Timothy Lang and Terrance Sturdivant both of Georgia; 1 grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
