"Ken" Love
November 16, 1981 – December 11, 2023
Kendy Love was born on November 16, 1981 in Columbus, MS to Randy and Alma Johnson. "Ken" received his education in the Columbus City Schools and graduated from Columbus High School.
He furthered his education at East Mississippi Community College. After school, he began his employment at Sanders Plumbing. He worked many years for several entities including: LOVE's Truck Stop and Navistar.
Ken accepted Christ as his personal savior at a young age and remained a lifelong member of Tenth Street Fairlawn Church.
Ken, or "Big Daddy" as his closest friends called him, was mild mannered and friendly, always willing to be there for his family, friends and neighbors. He was very family oriented, always trying to be there for their needs sometimes above his own. He represented his sir name well, he loved and was loved.
Ken departed this life on December 11, 2023, in Winona, MS. He is preceded in death by his father, Randy Johnson; grandparents: Joe and Queen Ester Johnson, Hattie and Jimmie Halbert, and Willie Love; his aunt, Yvonne Johnson; and uncle, Leo Love.
Kendy leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Alma Johnson of Columbus, MS; siblings: Natasha (Reginald) Blackmon of Canton, MS, Beverly (Tommy) Clayborn, and Randy M. Johnson both of Columbus, MS; his god-brothers: Craig and Patrick Holmes; his cousins: Rashaun Barry, Dedrick Johnson, and Ronnie Colvin; his uncles: Christopher (Khryl) Love, Keith (Margie) Brown, Joe L. (Corlis) Johnson, Larry D. Johnson, Michael Bernard Johnson all of Columbus, MS and Willie (Beverly) Love of Swansea, IL; his aunts: Erma Brown, Angela Love of Columbus, and Sandra (Frank) Merchant of Eagle River, Ak ; 7 nephews, one niece, other relatives and friends.
