April 18, 1957 – August 30, 2025
Larry Earl Jamison, born on April 18, 1957, in Columbus, Mississippi, was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who touched the lives of many during his time on this earth. He was the beloved son of Mr. Tommy W. Jamison Sr. and Ms. Mary Jamison and accepted Christ at an early age at Fourth Street MB Church, where his faith laid the foundation for a life filled with love and service.
Larry attended Caldwell High School, where he began to cultivate the strong work ethic that would define his career. He dedicated many years to serving his community through various roles, including positions at Baptist Behavioral, Baptist Memorial Hospital, Budweiser, and ultimately retiring from the City of Columbus Trotter Convention Center, where he worked in maintenance.
Larry was a loving husband to his wife, Mattie Ann Jamison, with whom he shared 39 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised a beautiful family, including their children, Bianca and Larry. He was also a proud grandfather to Lenix J. Jamison, who brought immense joy to his life.
Larry Earl Jamison passed away on August 30, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication to family and community.
Larry is survived by his wife, Mattie A. Jamison of Columbus, MS; his children Bianca Jamison of Columbus, MS and Larry Jamison of Columbus, MS; his grandson, Lenix Jamison; his father Mr. Tommy Jamison Sr; his brothers: Bennie (Vickie) King of Denver, CO; Curtis (Glendora) Jamison of Mobile, AL; Perry (Nicole) Jamison of Montgomery, AL; Tyrone (Loretta) Jamison of Atlanta, GA; and Van (Kisha) Jamison of Merced, CA. He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
