Leon Farmer, affectionately known as "Mickey", was born on April 10, 1956 in Crawford, MS to Rosie F. Brown. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Oakland Missionary Baptist Church. Leon attended Lowndes County schools and later worked for the City of West Palm Beach, FL.

Leon was preceded in death by: his grandmother, Betty L. Farmer, one aunt and three uncles.

Leon leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Rosie F. Brown of Crawford, MS; his two sons: Leon Jefferson of Starkville, MS and Andree Farmer of West Palm Beach, FL; one sister, Lillian Ward (Thurman) of Starkville, MS; two brothers: Lennard Brown (Vicki) of Starkville, MS and Wilbert Brown (Annie) of Crawford, MS; four aunts: Catherine Johnson (Bobby) of Starkville, MS, Beatrice Mosley (Sylvester) of Crawford, MS, Mary A. Farmer of Crawford, MS and Mary L. Farmer of Chicago, IL; one uncle: Peter L. Farmer (Geraldine) of Crawford, MS; two great uncles: TC Lowery of Columbus, MS and Clarence Lowery (Louise) of Chicago, IL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
