Mr. Less Tate, Jr. was born January 12, 1944, in Noxubee County, MS to Classie Hill and Less Tate, Sr. He departed this life on June 5, 2023.
Less confessed hope in Christ at an early age. He lived a very active life up until his retirement from Baldor Electric. Less was a well-known man for his love and pleasure to be around. He was a member of the T.P. Harris Elks Lodge and Co-Founder of Black Diamond Motorcycle and Social Clubs.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; his brothers: James Hill, L.B. Brooks, Allen Brooks, Calvin Stewart, and Curtis Stewart; and his sisters: Susie Wallace and Martha Brooks.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife of 46 years, Sadie Tate; his children: Laverne Ellis, Elizabeth (Larry) Deloach, Marilyn Brooks, and Kimberly (Phillip) Blair; his brothers: Isaac Brooks, N.S. Brooks, and Eric Brewer; his sisters: Mary Ree Lewis, Mary Golden, Betty (Tim) Dismuke, Hattie Bailey, Diane (Edward) Hill, Lillie Rose Billups, and Willie Mae Douglas; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of many other relatives and friends.
