Lillie Dell Jones was born in Lowndes County, Mississippi on June 8, 1936. Her parents were the late Jim Ash and Winona Ash.

She professed hope in Christ at an early age and joined St. James Missionary Baptist Church. She was active and served in various ministries until she became ill. She was employed in various areas–Factory and Hotel's housekeeping.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim & Winona Ash; a son, Lee Bernard Jones; (5) brothers, Andrew Crigler, Henry Lee Ash, Jimmy Lee Ash, James Ash and Sylvester Jones; (3) sisters, Maggie Sparks, Sarah Hall and Beulah Bluitt.

She leaves to cherish her memories: (2) sons, Charlie Evans, Jr. (Lillian) of Columbus, MS; Johnny Evans of Ft. Worth, TX; (1) daughter, Faye Coleman of Birmingham, AL; (1) sister, Willie Bell Power of Ft. Worth, TX; (1) sister-n-law, Margie Ash of Glenwood, IL, (23) grand- children; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
