Mrs. Lillie Mae Harris was born on January 8, 1945 to William and Mary Smith. She confessed Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Hopewell M.B. Church. Lillie, known as "Nen", enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Lillie spent a lot of her time in her kitchen cooking and attending church. She was united in holy matrimony to the Henry Harris.
On January 17, 2025, surrounded by family, God saw fit to call one of his Angels home.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Henry Harris; her children: Diane Harris and Henry Bernard Harris; her brothers: Charlie Smith, Robert Smith, William Smith, Howard Smith, and Chester Smith; and her sister, Williamena Walker.
Lillie leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters, Brenda (Anthony) Horne of Atlanta, GA, Barbara Harris of Oakwood, GA, and Joyce Manning of Columbus, MS; a special grandson, Jacoby Harris of Atlanta, GA; God-daughter, Benita (Daniel) Hinton-Witherspoon of Jackson, TN; ten grandchildren: Nicole, Andrea, Jamila, Akilah, Akeem, Arianna, Tyra, Tyasiah, and Alexis; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roosevelt (Deloise) Smith; two sisters, Annie Goodwin of Brooksville, MS and Maggie Smith of Chicago, IL; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
