Obituary

Linda Edmond was born November 29, 1972, in Meridian, MS to Bettie Lane and the late Gussie Lane, Sr. She graduated from Noxubee County High School with the Class of 1991. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Ary M.B. Church where she served faithfully until death.

She was united in holy matrimony to Michael Edmond and they were blessed with one child, Cierra Wells. She was recently employed as a caregiver at Oakwood Manor Retirement home up until her death.

In her spare time, Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her two brothers, Gussie Jr. and Bruce. She also enjoyed shopping and getting her hair and nails done.

On November 30, 2023, Linda transitioned peacefully, after a brief illness, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.

She was proceeded in death by her father, Gussie Lane, Sr., two sisters, Willie Mae Koger and Patricia Ann Lane, her father-in-law, and two brothers-in-law.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving and devoted husband, Michael Edmond; a loving daughter, Cierra Wells; 4 sisters: Nancy Ashford, Sky (Carlton) McCreery, Priscilla Lane, and Annie Gray; six brothers: Willie James Lane, Gussie Lane, Jr. (Laurie), James E. Lane, Johnnie L. Lane, John Koger, and Bruce Lane; mother-in-law, Mary Harris; 3 special friends: Yulonda Harris, Charesse Tate, and LaShelia Harris, and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
