Jr.
September 21, 1951 – October 1, 2024
Lovell Conner, Jr. was born in Columbus, Mississippi on September 21, 1951, to the union of Lovell Conner, Sr. and Emma J. Williams. He departed this life on October 1, 2024.
Energetic, brilliant, and demonstrating an abundant enjoyment for life, Mr. Conner graduated from R.E. Hunt High School in 1969, and afterwards enlisted in the United States Air Force. While serving in the Air Force, during 1971-1972, Mr. Conner offered combat support during the Vietnam War at deep-water Cam Ranh Bay in the Khánh Hòa Province, Vietnam. After serving in the United States Air Force, he enrolled into college receiving Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Texas. During his tenure in Texas, he was employed in Management for over 20 years at Texas Instruments.
Mr. Conner was preceded in death by his father, Lovell Conner, Sr.; mother, Emma J. Smith; brother, Sammie Simon; two sisters, Birdia Bonner and Vivian Moten. He leaves this earth with a host of relatives, friends, and seven siblings remaining: sisters, Dorothy Hubbard, Lovier Conner, Johnnie McBride, Juanita Hicks, and Sarah Hicks all of Columbus, Mississippi; brothers, Leodis Conner of New Albany, Mississippi and Roy Milton Hicks of Columbus, Mississippi. The family also makes honorable mention of niece, Tisha Conner and husband, Roger, for all of their services and works during his convalescence.
